While many people try to avoid crowds of tourists and tourist places in general at all costs, I, on the whole, don't really mind. I quite like the variety of languages and the diversity of faces around me, plus if a certain place attracts so many people from all over the world, chances are it's worth visiting - of course this doesn't apply to restaurants and shops aimed solely at tourists that very often provide poor quality services in exchange to an overpriced cost.
Café des 2 Moulins is one of those hidden treasures of Montmartre that everybody knows about. In gained recognition after it was featured in "Amélie" (2001) where it served as the workplace for the main character. Situated close to Moulin Rouge and Moulin de la Galette (hence the name), it is relatively tiny and pleasantly crowded most of the time with people chitchatting, drinking cocktails at the bar and devouring the divine crème brûlée. If you fancy something more substantial, I suggest going for the classic burger and french fries combo.
After finishing your meal, don't forget to stop by the bathroom where you'll find a lovely display of "Amélie" memorabilia.

This is definitely on my list of places to go when I visit France next! I can't believe I haven't been, it looks like such a fun classic French cafe!

You shouldn't definitely visit it, Joyce! It's so much fun to go there with a couple of friends and laugh and talk about life over a coffee or a nice cocktail - always so lively there.
DeleteAlso, I like your blog a lot! Already went through all of your France-related posts, hehe.
